The Hammond Typewriter was the first office typewriter that appeared as a true alternative to the Remington Standard 2. It was a shape and model that would survive for decades. Overall a genuinely antique significant typewriter from the beginning of the typewriter era.
The case has protected this machine for over a century. It is sold as display antique.
